Horvath: 30th wedding anniversary

DILLONVALE – Robert “Dink” and Shirley Richards Horvath will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary on Feb. 11. They were united in marriage on Feb. 11, 1981 in the Chapel in Circus Circus, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Horvath is the son of the late Frank and Julia Kuhn Horvath of Barton. He is one of 11 children and played and umpired sandlot baseball in California for 15 years. He also played for two years in the early 60’s for the Cleveland Indians Farm System and worked at the Old League Park where the Indians played. He also worked for TWA airlines in various places and worked as an announcer on a radio station and ministered the gospel.

His wife, Shirley, is the daughter of the late Kenneth and Gladys Probst Richards of Boydsville. She is one of five children and worked in management for about 20 years, managing a motel and restaurant.

The couple are both retired and had a singing ministry called the Heavenly Sounds and performed in many churches throughout the area.

A dinner will be held in their honor with their friends at the Red Lobster.
