Costine: 50th wedding anniversary

ST. CLAIRSVILLE-Tom and Connie Costine of St. Clairsville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, Oct. 14. They were united in marriage on Oct. 14, 1961, at the Thoburn United Methodist Church in St. Clairsville by the Rev. Orville Wilson.

Tom is the son of attorney John E. and Jessie Costine of St. Clairsville. He owned and operated Costine’s Sohio in Morristown for 32 years and has been a Richland Township trustee for 37 years. He was also a superintendent at the Ohio Department of Transportation for five years, and he retired in 1996.

Connie is the daughter of the late Robert and Arlene Harris of St. Clairsville. Connie owned and operated Dipper Dan Ice Cream at the Ohio Valley Mall and then worked for St. Clairsville Public Library for many years.

They are the parents of three children: Molly (John) Mercurio of Pittsburgh, Kelly (Tim) Wohnhas of Follansbee, and Chris Costine of Worthington. They are the grandparents of five grandchildren: Joey, Reilly and Claire Mercurio and Greg and Abby Wohnhas.

They celebrated with family and friends on their anniversary.
