Ross: 50th wedding anniversary

Donald and Charlene Brown Ross are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 15th. They were united in holy matrimony on Dec. 15, 1961, at the home of the groom’s parents by the late Rev. Lester Lehman. They resided in Powhatan Point before moving to Grand Junction, Colo., area where they spent 22 years before moving in 1999 to Columbia, Mo., where they currently reside.

Charlene is the daughter of the late Charles and Edna Brown. She recently retired from Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Mo.

Donald is the son of the late Glenn Ross and the late June Ross Richardson. He retired from his own business, Steam Clean pressure Wash Company in Grand Junction, Colo.

They are the parents of three children, Carol Ann (Matthew) Staley, Dale Ross (deceased), and Donna (Joel) Strawn.

They are the grandparents of thirteen grandchildren, Amber (Ray), Krista, and Derek Staley; Ashley (Matthew), Jacob, Joseph, Joshua, Amariah, Drew, Delaina, Dathan, Azaiah and Amelia Strawn. They are expecting two great-grandchildren in the spring of 2012.

They will celebrate with family and friends in Columbia, Mo.
