PALOMBI: 50th wedding anniversary

ADENA – Anthony and Marlene Palombi, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 30. They were united in marriage on Dec. 30, 1961, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Martins Ferry, with Rev. Louis A. Pacchi, officiating.

Palombi is the son of the late Sam and Carmen Palombi of Martins Ferry. He is a retired employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporation in Martins Ferry. His wife, Marlene, is the daughter of the late John and Margaret Krajnyak of Martins Ferry, and is employed by St. Frances Cabrini Church, Colerain, as the Parish Secretary.

They are the parents of four children: Sheri (Joe) Rogers of Harrisville; Cindy (Mike) Husvar of St. Clairsville; Renee’ (Steve) Sova of Galloway and Anthony Jr. (Britta) of Woodsfield; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. They also have three step-grandchildren and one step-great grandchild.

A family dinner was held at “The Farm” in their honor on Friday. Dec. 30. On Saturday, Dec. 31, a mass was held at St. Frances Cabrini Church, Colerain for their intentions by Father Dale Tornes.

The couple will celebrate a “50 1/2 Bash” in the late spring with a family reunion.
