STEELE: 50th wedding anniversary
BARNESVILLE – Roy and Becky Steele will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 4. They were united in marriage at the Somerton United Methodist Church with Rev. William Irvin officiating.
Steele is the son of the late Raymond and Hazel (Farrabee) Steele. He is a retired local pastor and semi-truck driver. He currently works at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home and volunteers at St. Vincent de Paul. His wife, Becky, is the daughter of the late Albert and Margaret (Warfield) McCort and is employed at Barnesville Hospital.
They are the parents of three daughters: Marie (Russell) Inherst of Beallsville, Joanne Steele of Jacksonville, Fla., and Yvonne Gloor of Barnesville; four grandchildren: Bill (Jess) Smith of Knoxville, Tenn., Rebecca Inherst of Beallsville, Alice (Tony) Gordon of Barnesville, and Maggie Steele of Jacksonville, Fla.; five great-grandsons: Austen, Micah, Roy, Eddi, and Johnny complete the family circle.
Due to a recent illness, a family dinner will be held at a later date.
