STEWART: 50th wedding anniversary

BROOKSIDE – Roger W. and Marlene D. Stewart celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 5. They were united in marriage on Jan. 5, in Wheeling.

Stewart is the son of the late Leeman and Dora Stewart of Tiltonsville. He completed 40 plus years in the field of education, with 15 years as superintendent of the Bridgeport Schools. He currently is on the Bridgeport Board of Education, the Career Center Board of Education, Brookside Village Council and has served as an adjunct professor at Ohio University Eastern for 18 years. His wife, Marlene is the daughter of the late Harry Nolte and Irene Nolte of Bethlehem. She was a stay-at-home wife and mother.

They are the parents of three sons, Tim resides in Barnaby, BC (Canada) with his wife, Andrea; their middle son, Thom, resides in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and the youngest son, Scott, and his wife, Laurie, reside in Delaware, Ohio; four grandchildren: Ryan, serving in the US Army at Ft. Lewis, Washington; Megan, of Adena; Eric of Delaware, Ohio and Eve, Vancouver, BC. They are expecting another grandchild in May and one great-grandchild, Owen, of Adena, complete the family.

The couple is planning a vacation later this year.
