JOSEPH: 50th wedding anniversary
ST. CLAIRSVILLE – Jerry and Shirley Joseph celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 5. They were united in marriage Aug. 5, 1962 with Minister Dean Miller officiating.
Joseph is the son of the late Rawleigh and stepmother Gay Joseph and mother, Catherine Harman. He received his MBA from Wheeling Jesuit and worked for American Electric Power. He is retired from A.E.P. Cardinal Plant.
His wife, Shirley is the daughter of the late James and Bernice Clark. She received an associate’s degree in nursing from Lake Michigan College and is a retired registered nurse.
They are the parents of a son, Kendall, and his wife, June, of Nashville, Tenn., and a daughter, Robin, and her husband, Neal Miles, of Spring Hill, Tenn. Also included in the family are three “children of the heart” Sergei and (Katya) Bykov of Prairieville, La., Anastasia Belashova of Washington, D.C., and Ivan Belashov of Rochester, N.Y. They also have five grandchildren: Eiley, Ian, Annabelle, Daniel and James.
They are active members of the National Road Church of Christ in Wheeling and enjoy doing mission trips including working Panama among the Cuna Indians and have gone on several mission trips to Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine.
They celebrated their anniversary with a reception in their honor with family and friends at the church which they attend. A month long mission trip is planned to Ukraine later this year.
