Dickinson: 50th wedding anniversary

Darol and Linda Dickinson are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today, April 21. They were married in Ellicott, Colo. on April 21, 1963.

Darol is the son of the late Frank and Ronda Dickinson of Texas. He was a renowned horse portrait artist and photographer.

His wife, Linda, is the daughter of Rella Correll of Yoder, Colo. and the late Clarence Correll. She is a recent graduate of Blair Business College.

The Dickinsons began raising Texas Longhorn Cattle in 1967 and has become one of the largest breeders of Texas Longhorn Cattle in the world.

Darol and Linda have four children: their oldest son, Kirk, and his wife, Linda, work at Dickinson Cattle Co & Longhorns Head to Tail in Barnesville with Darol and Linda; son Chad and his wife, Stefanie, live in Texas with their three children Brice (16), Shane (14), and Trista (9); youngest son Joel is the ranch manager for Dickinson Cattle Co., and his wife, Misty, is a nurse, and their children are Marshall (17), Kara (10), and Bry (9); youngest child and only daughter, Dela, and her husband, Steve Lenz, of Lenz Electric Service, live in Ellicott, Colo. with their children Nicole (18) and Austin (15).

The couple will celebrate their anniversary with their children and grandchildren.
