Benedetti: 60th wedding anniversary
RAYLAND – Albert and Julia Benedetti of Rayland are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary today, Dec. 24. The couple exchanged vows on Dec. 24, 1953 at the Colerain Presbyterian Church, officiated by the late Rev. Robert Reed.
Benedetti is the son of the late Albert and Jewel Benedetti. He is a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, served three years in the US Army and retired from Y&O Coal company.
His wife, Julia (Julie), is the daughter of the late William and Alice Wiggins. She is a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and a homemaker.
They are the parents of three children, Darrell (Chris) Benedetti of Ashland, Ohio; Marla (Bill) Smith of St. Clairsville; and Monica (Rob) Brown of Mt. Pleasant. They have eight grandchildren, Rebecca (Bryan) Elges, Denita (Joe) Fulton, Benjamin Benedetti; Brooke, Brennen, and Levi Smith; Adrienne Brown, Landon Benedetti; and four great-grandchildren, Alivia Fulton, Gabriella and Luke Elges, Ava Benedetti.
A party was held in their honor at Gervasi Vineyard, Canton, Ohio.
