MOFFO: 50th wedding anniversary

TILTONSVILLE – Mr. and Mrs. L. Richard Moffo of Tiltonsville are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today, April 25. They were united in marriage on April 25, 1964 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Tiltonsville, with the late Rev. Connie Superfisky officiating.

Moffo is the son of the late Louis and Frances Moffo of Yorkville. He is a 1962 graduate of Yorkville High School and is retired from the Mingo Junction Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. He is the owner of Moffo’s Housing Rentals.

His wife, the former Dixie Lee Pompeo, is also a 1962 graduate of Yorkville High School. She is the daughter of the late Charles and Julia Pompeo of Yorkville. She is retired from the family business, Moffo’s Pizza Shop.

They are the parents of two children, a daughter, Mrs. Tim (Gina) Stoffer of Wheeling and a son, Rich Moffo, also of Wheeling; six grandchildren complete the family: Timmy, Danica and Shelby Stoffer; Ryan, Maxwell and Jacob Moffo.

A family dinner will be held in their honor and the couple will renew their vows on May 11, at St. Joseph’s Church.
