Greg and Sandy Heslop of Martins Ferry celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 2. They were married in 1967 when Greg was in the Air Force stationed at Lockborne, Ohio.

Greg is a son of Wilbur Heslop, Jr., who will be 102 in July and the late Minerva Froom Heslop and the late Sara Jo (Harth) Heslop. Sandy is the daughter of the late Edward Allen and Josephine (Caulkins) Henderson.

They have two daughters; Darnas Heslop (Jon Furlong) Grimm of Upper Arlington, Ohio, and Dana Heslop (Geoff) Nehren of Holland, Ohio. Greg and Sandy are proud grandparents of six grandchildren.

Both Greg and Sandy along with Wilbur own the Heslop Funeral Home of Martins Ferry.

They celebrated their 50th by going on an Alaska Cruise in August 2017. An anniversary dinner was held by the family on Dec. 2.
