Terry and Melva Duvall of Shadyside are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary today, July 1. They were united in marriage on July 1, 1978, at Lincoln Avenue United Methodist Church in Shadyside by Pastor Rodney Buchanan.

Melva is the daughter of the late Donald and Etta-Mae “Sis” Moore. Terry is the son of the Dale and Mildred Duvall.

They have two children: Terry Dale Duvall and his wife Missy of Shadyside and Kimberly Kovacs and her husband Jamie of Flushing.

They have five grandchildren: Brianna, Emily and Teri Duvall, and Konnar and Gracee Kovacs.

Terry and Melva are celebrating their anniversary with a party hosted by family and friends at Lake Seneca Park, Senecaville, where they also spent their honeymoon.
