RIGHT TO Life meeting is set for 7 p.m. Jan. 11 at East Richland Evangelical Friends Church, 67885 Friends Church Road, St. Clairsville, in Room 2. The group will plan the annual Candlelight Prayer Vigil for Life which will be on Jan. 21.
ORMET RETIREES Club Local 5724 will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Hannibal Grade School. The club invites all workers who retired from Ormet to join. AARP TAX-Aide, the nation’s largest free volunteer-run tax preparation and assistance service, is looking for volunteers to help low and moderate income families in the local area prepare and file their individual tax returns during the upcoming tax season. People interested in learning more about meaningful ways to help others through this unique service are invited to an information meeting at the Ohio Valley Mall Community Room at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 9. The Tax-Aide program continues to grow and there is continuing need for volunteers who want to stay engaged, make a difference, give something back, and join a team that really cares. Tax-Aide welcomes volunteers of all ages and backgrounds. Tax-Aide volunteer are not required to be an AARP member or a retiree to participate.
