Bethany Anne Romanek and Brian Wayne Emery were united in marriage Saturday, July 31 Mass during a double-ring ceremony at St. Michael Parish in Wheeling with the Rev. Jeremiah F. McSweeney presiding.
The bride was escorted by her father.
She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John P. Romanek of Wheeling. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald V. Chambers of Glen Dale.
Tracey Safcsak was maid of honor and Eric Schoenian served as best man. The wedding party included: Sarah Clark, Cali Evans, Jim George, Justin Chambers, brother of the groom; Elena Romanek and Emma Romanek. Flower girls were Elizabeth Anne Romanek, Isabella Romanek and Gabrielle Romanek. Other attendants were Ethan Romanek and Caleb Romanek. Soloist was April Leiffer Henry.
The bride and groom released white doves following the ceremony.
A reception was held at the Parish Hall of Our Lady of Lebanon Church in Wheeling.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Wheeling Park High School and a 2005 graduate of West Liberty State College with a bachelor of science degree in communications and a specialization in journalism. She is employed by Crittenton Services, Inc. as a development manager/grant writer.
The groom is a 1994 graduate of John Marshall High School and a 1999 graduate of West Liberty State College with a bachelor of science degree in business administration and a specialization in administrative science. He is employed by Comcast Spotlight as an account executive.
After a honeymoon in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, the couple will make their home in Glen Dale.
