Bridgette Michelle Carpenter and Justin Michael Blake were united in marriage at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Cathedral of St. Joesph, Wheeling, with Rev. Msgr. Kevin M. Quirk officiating the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Richard and Barbara Carpenter of Shadyside.
The groom is the son of Nicholas Blake of St. Clairsville and Deborah Kloeppner of Wheeling.
Shannon Sims was the maid of honor. Kristin Gintz was the matron of honor. The best men were Matthew Humphrey and Justin DeBlasis.
Other attendants were Dina Blake, Brynn Kloeppner, Staci Susac, Jessica Sechrest, Michelle Husek, Mandy Adams, Angela Pinion, Lindsay Smith, Dannielle Lafferty, Jeremy Alberts, Jan-Michael Gintz, John King, Stephen Crawford, Andrew Newburn, Adam Hartley, and Spencer Pinion.
A reception was held at the Wheeling Artisan Center.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Shadyside High School and a graduate of West Liberty University with a bachelor’s degree. She is employed by Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center as director of the Child Development Center.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School and a graduate of Muskingum College with a bachelor’s degree. The groom also graduated from West Virginia University with a master of public administration. He is employed as the marketing director of Woodsfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
After a wedding trip to Punta Cana, the couple will reside in Wheeling.
