Danielle Nicole Burkhart and Eric David Rosen were united in marriage on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shadyside with Father Samuel R. Saprano officiating the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Terry and Robin Burkhart of Shadyside. The groom is the son of Jeanette Rosen of Powhatan Point and the late David Rosen.
The bride was escorted by her father. Breana Burkhart served as maid of honor, and Bethany Moore served as matron of honor. Josh Rosen served as best man. Other attendants were Randi Brookins, Jessica Powell, Julie Althar, Johnni Hubbard, Hillary Glasser, Richelle Thoburn, Alissa Kinney, Tausha Ronevich, Kathleen Fernandez, Josh Moore, Jason Rosnick, Lucas Huffman, Travis Rosen, Brian Hendershot, Don Hendershot, Chad Hartley, Marty Smith, Josh Uminski and Jake Uminski. Addyson Moore, Reese Burkhart, Britnie Knollinger and Raegan Hendershot served as flower girls. Braydon Moore served as ring bearer. Kayla Matesick and Angela Liberati gave the readings during Mass.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Shadyside High School, a 2007 graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University with a bachelor of science degree in nursing and a 2011 graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University with a master of science degree in nursing as a nurse practitioner. She is a certified family nurse practitioner and is currently employed by Wheeling Hospital in the intensive care unit.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of River High School and a 2008 graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor of science degree in education. He is currently employed as an intervention specialist at River High School. He is also the head track coach and assistant wrestling and football coach at River.
A honeymoon is planned for 2012. The couple will reside in Shadyside.
