Laura Joan Collins and Dustin Adrian Marinucci were united in marriage on Saturday, Dec. 17 at the Flushing United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joseph McDonald of Bluffton, S.C. officiating.
Parents of the bride are Michael and Beverly McConnell of Bethesda and the late Paul Collins. Parents of the groom are Donald and Gina Marinucci of Flushing.
The bride was escorted by her brother Joshua Collins and grandfather Clifford Collins. Abby Collins was maid of honor, and Erin Mayo was matron of honor. T.J. White served as best man. Other attendants were Emily Miller, Lacy Gallagher, Melissa Vannest, Stephanie Bittinger, Isaac Burkhart, Jason Cleland, John Blazek and Joshua Collins. The ring bearer was Daniel Heightland, and the flower girls were Lilly Sagraves and Haley Heightland. Linda Alexander was the organist and Sam Witchey was the vocal soloist.
A reception was held at The Hellenic Center in Wheeling.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Union Local High School and a 2009 graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology. She is currently a graduate student at Muskingum University pursuing a master of arts in teaching degree to become an intervention specialist. She will begin her student teaching in Bluffton, S.C., in January.
Her husband is a 1999 graduate of Union Local High School and a 2005 graduate of Ohio Northern University with a doctor of pharmacy degree. He is currently a graduate student at the University of Florida, pursuing a master of science degree in pharmacy. Dustin is employed by Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort, S.C., as the clinical pharmacy coordinator.
Following a honeymoon in Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Bluffton, S.C.
