MARISA NICOLE Brown and Matthew Joseph Amato were united in marriage on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 4:45 p.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Brookville, New York. Officiating at the double ring ceremony was the Rev. Robert Clerkin. The bride was escorted by her mother and father.
Parents of the bride are Nina Filardi of Long Island and Jerold and Linda Brown of Westchester, New York.
Parents of the groom are Joseph and Deborah Amato of Brookside.
Johanna Busti served as maid of honor and Steve Smith served as the best man. Other attendants were: Gianna Brown, junior bridesmaid; Alessandra Lynn, flower girl; and Amato Lynn, ring bearer.
A reception was held at the Woodbury Country Club, Long Island, New York.
The bride is a graduate of Jericho High School, Long Island and The New York Institute of Technology, New York. She is employed as a training and development manager for Restaurant Associates in New York City.
Her husband is a 1999 graduate of The Linsly School and a 2002 graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College earning a bachelor of science degree in economics and finance. He received a masters in business administration in 2007 from St. John’s University, New York. He is employed as a senior producer in the New York office of Freddie Mac Multifamily and a coach for the Major League Soccer New York Bulls in their youth development program.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to Florence, Venice, Positano and Rome, Italy. They reside in New York City.
