COURTNEY LYNN Walker and Charles Edwin Clark III were united in marriage on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2011 at 2:30 p.m., at the James E. Carnes Center, St. Clairsville. Officiating at the double ring ceremony was Pastor Pete Walburn. The bride was escorted by her father.
The parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Bernard N. Walker of Bellaire. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John G. Ray of Bellaire and the late Mr. and Mrs. Willard N. Walker, formerly of Shadyside. The bride carried a handkerchief from her late grandmother, Viola Walker.
Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Clark Jr., of Bellaire. He is the grandson of Ms. Nettie Day of Bellaire, the late Mr. and Mrs. James Shreve, formerly of Wheeling, the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clark Sr., formerly of Shadyside and the late Mr. Brad Day, formerly of Bellaire.
Ashley Walker served as maid of honor and Jason Thibodeaux served as best man. Flower girls were Makenzie and Khylar Lahna and Codin Walker was the ring bearer.
A reception was held at the James E. Carnes Center, St. Clairsville following the ceremony.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of The Linsly School and a 2003 graduate of Ohio Northern University earning a bachelor of arts degree in sociology. She is employed as a children services case manager at the Belmont County Department of Job and Family Services.
Her husband is a 1989 graduate of Bellaire High School and a 2011 graduate of the University of Phoenix earning a bachelor of science degree in Human Services and Management. He is employed as a clinical supervisor at the Wheeling Treatment Center. He is also retired from the United States Navy.
The couple took a honeymoon cruise to the southern Caribbean and reside in Shadyside.
