Lisa M. Taris and John D. Ryder Jr. were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 16 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Bellaire, with the Rev. Daniel Heusel officiating the double-ring ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Bernard and Mary Taris of Bellaire. Parents of the groom are John F. Ryder Sr. and Iris Ryder of Wheeling.
Lori Taris was maid of honor. James Ryder served as best man. Other attendants were Audra Yoho, Bri Harveth, Megan Guastavino, Janna Ryder, Johnnetta Jones, Katlyn Ryder, John Ryder Sr., Buddy Maxwell, Mike Hess, Kyle Ryder and Shawn Jones.
A reception was held at the Osiris Shrine, Monument Place, Wheeling.
The bride is a 1995 graduate of Bellaire High School and a 2000 graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in science. She is employed as a recreational therapist at Peterson Hospital and Geriatric Center in Wheeling.
The groom is a 1996 graduate of Wheeling Park High School. He is employed with Sledd Co. as a merchandise leader in Wheeling.
After a wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Bellaire.
