Wendy Jo Turner and Adam Nathan Vavrek were united in marriage Monday, April 1 at Sacred Heart Church in Neffs with Father Daniel Heusel officiating. The couple and their families celebrated their marriage with a symbolic ceremony performed by Jason Turner, brother of the bride, at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 6 at Dreams Resort, Tulum, Mexico.
Parents of the bride are Francis and Donna Turner of Moundsville. Parents of the groom are Steve and Sue Vavrek of Bellaire.
Emily Kolas was maid of honor, and Crystal Moore was matron of honor. Paul Batchelder served as best man. Other attendants were Tiffany Turner, Aimee Vavrek, Amber Kacsmar, Phil Childerson and Michael Kacsmar. Maggie Turner served as flower girl.
A reception will be held on June 1 in Moundsville.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of John Marshall High School and a 2011 graduate of Alderson-Broaddus College with a master’s degree in physician assistant studies. She is employed as a physician assistant at Wheeling Hospital in cardio-thoracic and vascular surgery.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of Bellaire High School, a 2007 graduate of Miami University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and a 2010 graduate of Dayton University with a juris doctorate. He is a practicing attorney licensed in West Virginia.
The couple resides in Bellaire.
