MIRANDA LEIGH Thompson and Thomas James Laubie were united in marriage on Feb. 23, 2013 at the Flushing Christian Church. The bride was escorted to the altar by her father.
The bride is the daughter of Cheryl and Randy Thompson of Flushing. The groom is the son of Janet and James Laubie of Englewood, Ohio.
Matron of honor was Amanda Mercer Dowdy, and Scott Laubie was the best man. Other attendants were Leah Janssen, Melissa Sprague, Mark Laubie, Lance Beck, Josh Thompson, Jacob and Jonah Hoback and Parker and Branden Laubie. Reagan and Jake Thompson were flower girl and ring bearer.
A reception was held at River City Ale Works in Wheeling.
The bride graduated in 2001 from Union Local High School and is a 2005 graduate of Miami (Ohio) University with a bachelor of science degree in sociology. She will graduate in July from Wright State University with a masters of science degree in clinical mental health counseling. She has served five years in the United States Air Force and is currently a Captain in the Air Force Reserve in Dayton, Ohio. She is employed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
Her husband is a 1996 graduate of Northmont High School and a 2001 graduate of the University of Dayton with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering and a 2010 graduate of Wright State with a master of business administration degree. He is employed by LIB Engineering, Inc. of Dayton, Ohio.
The couple reside in Englewood, Ohio.
