Lorrie Kay Althar and Jamie Phillip Palmer were united in marriage June 22 at the Carnes Center in St. Clairsville by the Rev. Dennis Handcock.
Parents of the bride are Rich and Monica Althar of Bellaire. Parents of the groom are Jack and Anna Palmer of Jacobsburg.
Belinda Vasey and Bridget Violet served as matrons of honor. Jim Tharp was best man. Other attendants were Roxann Tharp, Joyce Lundsford, Gina Gilli, Jeremy Klempa, Scott Hudson, Steve Lundsford and Dave Lowe. Ring bearer was Brody Holt, and Calleigh Holt was the flower girl.
The bride graduated from Bellaire High School and earned her associate’s degree from West Virginia Northern Community College. She is also a volunteer fire fighter with the Spirit of 76. She is employed by Country Club Retirement Campus and Shadyside Care Center.
Her husband graduated from Bellaire High School and attended the Police/Law Enforcement Academy. He is also the assistant chief of the Spirit of 76. He is employed at Ormet.
Following a honeymoon to Charlotte, N.C., the couple will reside in Bellaire.
