Erika Renee Brandon and Steven Matthew Kernik were united in marriage on Saturday, June 15 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shadyside with Father Samuel Saprano officiating.
Parents of the bride are George and Renee Brandon of Neffs. Parents of the groom are Mike and Lori Kernik of Shadyside.
Rosa Zeno served as maid of honor, and Lacie Kernik served as matron of honor. Michael Kernik served as best man. Other attendants were Lexie Smith, Kristen Honecker, Kayleigh Kennedy, Stephanie Brandon, Courtney Wiggins, Julie Althar, Hillary Glasser, Lindsay Beckett, April Lowry, Christine DeFede, Faith Brandon, Bobby Samsa, Sean Grinch, Tim O’Grady, Jonathan O’Grady, Cory Brandon, Chad Brandon, Mark Tyler, Kurt Glasser, Travis Beckett, Billy Frollini, Tristen Smith and Dante DeFelice. The flower girl was Kayla Kernik, and Zane Brandon served as ring bearer.
A reception was held at the Wheeling Park White Palace ballroom.
The bride is a graduate of Bellaire High School and West Liberty University. She is employed as an assistant auditor with the Ohio Auditor of State’s office.
Her husband is a graduate of Shadyside High School, Capital University and Muskingum University. He is employed as an intervention specialist with the Buckeye Local School District.
Following a honeymoon in Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple resides in Shadyside.
