Kara Lynn Butler and Dugan James Dye were united in marriage at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 at Epworth Park in Bethesda with the Rev. Teresa M. Bobot officiating the ceremony. The bride was given away in marriage by her father.
Parents of the bride are Timothy and Marsha Butler of Lafferty. Parents of the groom are the late Milton and Frankie Dye of St. Clairsville.
Katie Butler served as the maid of honor, and Darin Dye served as the best man. Other attendants were Ashley McGinnis, Kasi Kostelia, Lizzy Burley, Kylie McGinnis, Drew Mistak, Logan Paxton, Taelor Lockhart Byrum and Kalobe Byrum. Delany and Ramsey Butler were the flower girls, and Logan McGinnis was the ring bearer. The guest book attendant was Brittain Byrum.
A reception was held at the St. Clairsville Rec Center for the couple after the ceremony.
The bride is a 2010 graduate of Union Local High School and a 2012 graduate of Belmont College where she received an associate’s degree in office administration. She is currently working part-time at The Health Plan, and is a cheer coach at Union Local.
The groom is a 2011 graduate of St. Clairsville High School. He is currently working for American Energy Corp, Century Mine as a warehouse clerk.
After a honeymoon in Put-in-Bay, the couple will reside in Lafferty.
