Beverly Ann Plumly and Lucas Michael Prati were united in marriage Aug. 3, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Assumption Church in Barnesville, with Msgr. Mark J. Froehlich officiating the ceremony. The bride was escorted by her father.
Parents of the bride are Joe and Julie Plumly of Somerton. Parents of the groom are Michael Prati of Tiltonsville and Carmen Prati-Miller of Martins Ferry.
Allison and Miranda Plumly were maids of honor, and Chad Caniff and Ryan Alexander served as best men. Other attendants were Brittany Smith-Betts, Amy Carpenter, Meghan Ruoff, Alesa Fisher, Elissa McFarland, Adam Winland, Jeremy Rector, Greg Caniff, Bryan Rico and Paul Hartlieb. Ava Calhoun was a junior bridesmaid, Avery Alexander was a flower girl, and Colt Carpenter served as ring bearer.
A reception following the ceremony was held at the White Palace, Wheeling Park.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Barnesville High School. She graduated summa cum laude at Muskingum University with a bachelor of arts degree in special education and early childhood education in 2009 and a master of arts in educational leadership in 2011. She is employed as a special education teacher and testing coordinator at Bridgeport Middle School.
Her husband is a 1999 graduate of St. John Central High School, a graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University with a bachelor of science degree in business management in 2003 and a master of science degree in business administration in 2007. He is employed by CONSOL Energy, Shoemaker Mine as a section supervisor.
Following a honeymoon in Montego Bay, Jamaica, the couple resides in St. Clairsville.
