JENNIFER MICHELLE Burkhart and Scott Underwood Roett were united in marriage on July 5, 2013 at Trinity Church in Savannah, Ga., with Father Daniel Firmin officiating the ceremony. The bride was escorted by her grandfather, Richard Greenwood of Bellaire.
The bride is the daughter of Julie Burkhart of Shadyside and the late Jeffrey Burkhart. The groom is the son of Bruce and Diane Roett of Williamsburg, Va.
Grace Dorman served as maid of honor, and Richard Mooney was the best man. Other attendants were Taylor Lasure, Morgan Smith, Emily Nicholson, Bruce Roett, Winston Roett, Joseph Dorman and John Hein. McKinley Roett served as the flower girl, and Dominic Roett was the ring bearer.
The bride is a graduate of St. John Central. She earned a bachelor of science degree in public relations in 2009 and a master’s degree in industrial relations in 2010 from West Virginia University. She is currently employed by General Electric Aviation as a human resource manager in Dallas, Texas.
Her husband is a 2005 graduate of Burton High School, Williamsburg, Va. He earned a bachelor of science degree in international studies in 2009 from West Virginia University. He was commissioned into the United States Army as a 1st Lieutenant and has now attained the rank of Captain and is serving in the 1st Ranger Regiment in Savannah, Ga.
The couple plans a delayed honeymoon to Italy. They are currently enjoying a dual residency in Dallas, Texas and Savannah, Ga.
