Bellaire welcomes Verizon Wireless

BELLAIRE Bellaire Area Chamber of Commerce welcomed one of the village’s newest businesses to town last week.

In early February, Verizon Wireless Center opened a new center in Imperial Plaza, and on Wednesday a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony were held with village officials and chamber of commerce members on hand.

During the ribbon cutting, Chamber President Lou Ann Bennett presented Jason Copley, the district manager for the wireless centers, with a welcome packet and the recently completed Bellaire Area of Chamber of Commerce business directory.

The new store can boast having a spacious shopping area and large selection, but it is the customer service that the new store’s manager said sets it apart from many other stores for cellular phones and service.

“One of the best things about this place compared to other stores is customer service,” said Joshua Schramm, store manager. “I feel we’ve got the best representatives, customer service wise in the area and personality wise, they are a really good group of guys.”

Schramm also said customer will also find good deals with competitive prices, phones from some of the top manufacturers and a large selection accessories.

“We try to do our best to beat any pricing anywhere. The phones that we sell are the same as any Verizon store and we have our own brand of accessories which are more cost effective,” he said. “We stand behind our products.”

Among the accessories, the store has headsets, car charges, cases and wireless, hands-free units for safer driving.

The store is open Mondays through Saturday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sundays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
