Oil, gas lease seminars are scheduled
WHEELING Local Financial Advisors Heidi Koler, CRPC, and Colleen Burgess of Wells Fargo Advisors are planning investment seminars for residents of the Ohio Valley who have already or are planning to receive oil and gas lease money and royalties.
The two announced that they would offer these seminars in order to help educate people about the various investment options that they may want to consider.
Two free to attend seminars are planned for early 2012. In addition to Koler and Burgess, guest speakers will be presenting on important topics as well.
William Knox, Certified Public Accountant based in Barnesville, will present on tax considerations and strategies. Thomas Hampton, attorney at law, also based in Barnesville, will speak at the seminars to help educate people on estate planning strategies to protect their wealth now and for future generations.
“I am really excited about the joint participation for these seminars,” commented Koler, “I feel that these presenters will really help folks understand key options and decisions when planning for lease money from a financial, tax and legal point of view.
“We are hosting these seminars because we know the community, and the people who live here, because we are from here, born and raised,” Koler added. “We live in the area, we are committed to the residents, their well-being and have pride in our communities,”added Burgess. Topics which will be presented at the seminars include investment planning strategies, pre and post retirement considerations as well as a general overview of investments, tax strategies and estate planning ideas.
The first seminar is set for Tuesday, Jan. 24, at Annie K’s Restaurant in Barnesville. t will be held from 6-7 p.m. and dinner will be served during the presentation.
Koler, Burgess, Knox and Hampton will all present at the seminar.
The second seminar is planned for Tuesday, Feb. 7 also from 6-7 p.m. at the Centerville Senior Center in Jacobsburg. Dinner will also be served. Koler, Burgess and Hampton will present at the second seminar.
