Woollard back in key role at St.C. Chamber

ST. CLAIRSVILLE – The St. Clairsville Area Chamber of Commerce has a new executive director. She is Jennifer Woollard, who assumed her duties after succeeding Amy Aspenwall, former executive director. Aspenwall resigned after serving the chamber in various capacities for nearly seven years.

Aspenwall stepped down from her position the week of Jan. 13, and Woollard took over the post beginning this past Monday.

Woollard is a graduate of Bellaire High School and a current resident of Bethesda. She not only has strong ties to the local community that will aid her in this new position, but she also has strong ties to the chamber. She served on the board of directors since 2004 and was the chamber president in 2010 and 2011, the only person to ever hold the position for two consecutive years.

Woollard said she has a great understanding of the chamber and is prepared to bring that knowledge to her new position.

With all of the predicted economic and business change in the Ohio Valley, Woollard said she is ready to step into her new role within the chamber family and is also excited to make some changes.

“I am looking forward to serving our members and community as I take on the position of executive director,” said Woollard. “I have many exciting ideas that I hope to integrate into our plans for the year and future years.”

Woollard joins new chamber administrator Katyn Gross, who recently became a full-time member of the chamber office staff. This year’s new president is Wendy Anderson of Cracker Barrel, who served on the chamber’s board of director’s prior to serving in her new post this year.
