Kacsmar earns global honors
JAMES F. Kacsmar, CPA, AEP has received notification from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants that he has fulfilled all the established requirements of eligibility by demonstrating the necessary qualifications and has been certified as of July 31, 2012.
He is thereby entitled under the conditions prescribed by the AICPA to hold and use the description Chartered Global Management Accountant – CGMA.

Kacsmar, CPA, AEP founded Kacsmar & Company, a local independent certified public accounting and business consulting firm in 1979. Kacsmar & Company, now known as Perry & Associates, provides a comprehensive range of professional accounting, business consulting and tax services of businesses of all sizes and to many individuals in the Ohio Valley area. Kacsmar received his bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from Ohio University, Athens, Ohio in 1973. He entered the field of public accounting in 1973 and successfully completed all the requirements and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1978. Mr. Kacsmar went on to complete the requirements of post graduate work and was awarded the designation of Accredited Estate Planner in 1994. The department of Elementary Schools of the National Catholic Education Association presented him the 1991 National Catholic Elementary School Distinguished Graduate Award. Mr. Kacsmar was the president of St. Clairsville Rotary Club during the 1991-1992 year and went on to receive the Rotary Foundation District Service Award for outstanding service and promoting the Rotary Foundation in its goal of world understanding and peace in 1995. Mr. Kacsmar, a four time, Paul Harris Fellow was presented the Presidential Citation by Rotary International in recognition of meritorious service and furthering the principals and ideals of the Rotary way of life in 1997. Mr. Kacsmar served two terms representing Belmont County as a board member with the Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association. OEMGA represents ten counties in Ohio and is a collaborative body of member governments that serves as a facilitator between State and Federal government agencies and local entities to provide opportunities in economic and community development through networking, education, planning, research and allocation of resources. Mr. Kacsmar was appointed as Belmont County’s representative to OMEGA’s Revolving Loan Fund Committee. In 2001, Supreme Pontiff John Paul II awarded Mr. Kacsmar the Pro Ecclesia ET Pontifice Award, the highest award given to a lay person in the Catholic Church of America for those recognized for outstanding work and study in the Catholic Church.
