Nini’s Treasures to welcome Reedy

TRIADELPHIA – Nini’s Treasures will welcome Vera Bradley Brand Ambassador Joan Bradley Reedy, daughter of Vera Bradley, and Susan Cambell, Vera Bradley director of sales, to their store on Thursday, Nov. 1 from 5 to 7 p.m. Guests will enjoy the opportunity to hear anecdotes of Vera Bradley’s history, personal stories, and the remarkable women behind the company at a special event to raise funds for breast cancer research. The event is open to the public, but a special invitation is extended to all cancer survivors.

Customers will enjoy refreshments, give-aways and door prizes, and a memorable presentation while shopping for the newest Vera Bradley colors and styles in Nini’s Treasures’ friendly and unique store. “We’re delighted to partner with Nini’s Treasures to raise funds for breast cancer research,” said Catherine Hill, executive director of the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer. “Our Vera Bradley retailers are the perfect partners to help us spread the word about the important work of the Vera Bradley Foundation.”

Nini’s Treasures is Wheeling’s unique boutique located at the Highlands and is in its fourth year at this new location – the prior location was at Stratford Springs. It offers an extensive Vera Bradley collection, including a pattern made specifically for Vera Bradley’s breast cancer research initiative.

“We are excited and honored to have someone of this magnitude in the Vera Bradley company visit our little store,” said Nini Zadrozny, owner of Nini’s Treasures. “We’ve never met these women and feel like this will be a very enlightening event.”

The Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer was founded by Vera Bradley owners Barbara Baekgaard and Patricia Miller in 1998. To date, it has contributed $15 million to the world renowned research team in the Indiana University Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis.

The team of researchers at the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer Research Laboratories is making significant progress and gaining national recognition for their work in the following areas:

  • Detection of cancer long before tumors form.
  • Identification of women at high risk for developing breast cancer.
  • Breast cancer prevention discoveries.
  • Safer and more effective therapies through individualized therapy based on genetics.
  • Better treatment of recurrences of breast cancer and prevention of metastasis.
  • Enhancing lives of survivors through approaches that improve both length and quality of life.

Impressive sales of the Vera Bradley breast cancer awareness colors generate part of this revenue, but another significant portion is the donors like Nini’s Treasures and those that support their events. For more information about the Vera Bradley Foundation, visit
