WesBanco makes additional United Way contributions

WHEELING — In an effort to support West Virginia, Ohio and western Pennsylvania United Way agencies, WesBanco recently offered a five dollar United Way contribution for every new qualifying checking account opened during a fourth quarter promotional campaign. In addition to WesBanco’s corporate pledge of nearly $80,000 and total employee contributions of more than $69,000, WesBanco President & CEO, Paul M. Limbert, announced that 25 United Way Agencies across three states would receive an additional $34,000 resulting from promotional campaign activity for a total WesBanco United Way contribution of more than $183,000 in 2013.

“Over the years we have supported our local communities with a wide variety of banking and financial assistance programs. I am pleased that WesBanco can once again provide assistance to the residents across the many communities served by WesBanco. We are a long-time supporter of the United Way and are delighted to donate an additional $34,000 to assist the residents of 25 of our banking communities and a total of more than $183,000 to the United Way. We thank our customers for their business and our employees for their donations and efforts in generating the new account activity responsible for the campaign donation,” Limbert said.
