Harvey Goodman Realtor opens fifth office

Cambridge There’s a new Realtor in town. Well, not really. Harvey Goodman Realtor has opened its fifth Ohio Valley office in the Mosser Building, formerly occupied by Time Warner at 351 Highland Avenue. The new office is conveniently located on the corner of Highland and Beatty, directly across from the Guernsey County Health Department, Jobs and Family Services and the “Wags to Riches Thrift Shoppe.”

The Grand Opening was held on Wednesday May 21st in the form of an “OPEN HOUSE” from 12-5 and was extremely successful. John Sambuco, Broker of the Goodman firm, was thankful for the support of the community and everyone that came to see the new business in town. Sambuco stated “Our office may be new, but we are staffing it with agents everyone in Cambridge already knows. And, it looks like they’ve got a lot of friends.” Joining the Goodman Team prior to the grand opening are Peggy Parry, Dave Parry, Kim Wilson and Martha Seresun.

The ribbon cutting was held at 1:30 with John H. Goodman II and Chamber of Commerce President Jo Sexton cutting the ribbon.

John “Harvey” Goodman founded his company in the 1940’s to build affordable homes in the St. Clairsville area. Opening up a real estate brokerage company in 1957 was a natural next step. Back then, Harvey began growing his business by building trust with a handshake, walking people into and introducing them to the local bankers and helping people through every step of the home buying process. Harvey Goodman Realtor now has five offices and nearly 50 agents serving the Ohio Valley. The offices are located in Wheeling, Martins Ferry, St. Clairsville, Barnesville and Cambridge.

Sambuco stated “Harvey Goodman Realtor is happy to be in Cambridge. We’ve looked for nearly three years for the right location to open up an office, and we certainly found it. We are looking forward to providing the Cambridge area unequalled professional and personal service. Please stop by and visit. Our normal hours are from 8-5 Monday through Friday and we are here Saturday, Sunday and most nights. If the lights are on, the door is open and we’d love to talk real estate with you.”

If you are interested in a career in real estate, Sambuco stated he can be contacted through the company’s website –, or calling him directly on his cell phone at 740-391-9009.
