Quaker Steak Offers Tasty Wings, Ribs and More in Unique Atmosphere
By SCOTT McCLOSKEY
While the chicken wings and ribs are customer favorites on the American menu at this casual automotive-themed chain restaurant located at The Highlands in Ohio County — Quaker Steak & Lube features a large variety of delicious menu items.
“We have definitely been known for our wings. We have been voted as ‘best’ wings many times as a restaurant,” said Marketing Manager Christine Thomas. And they offer more than two dozen different wing sauces to choose from including: original BBQ, parmesan pepper, Asian sesame, smoked jalapeno honey, golden garlic, Arizona ranch, cajun, and dusted ghost pepper.
Thomas said their ribs are ‘fall off the bone good’ and their burgers, such as the Provolo-Rider Burger, which is loaded with real Wisconsin white cheddar cheese curds and premium marinara and provolone cheese are simply amazing.
Thomas said they see a lot of regular customers week to week because of their great food, interesting atmosphere and variety of events. According to their website there is always something happening at “The Lube,” like their trademark Wednesday Bike Night which began this week and Music on the Patio which is scheduled every Friday night.
Thomas said the restaurant is “very community driven,” and continues to sponsor many local events throughout the entire year. She said they are holding a huge benefit this Sunday to help raise funds for the families of three local children who are battling cancer.
Quaker Steak & Lube’s full menu is always ready to go, as customers can order online at www.lubewingstofly.com or call 304-547-1100 for pick-up at their drive-up window.
