Johnny Boys Pasta, Pizza, Wings and More Offers Variety

WHEELING — Whether it’s trying their freshly made pizza or building your own calzone or oven baked sandwich, Johnny Boys Pasta, Pizza, Wings and More has a large variety of tasty dishes that keeps their customers returning for more, according to owner John Angus.

Located next-door to the Subway shop at the Warwood Plaza, Angus said he continues to get great reviews on his all new pizza sauce that is made fresh daily with only the best ingredients and is cooked and simmered for three hours. The cheese is a blend of provolone and mozzarella, and if you would prefer one cheese over the other — just ask.

In addition to pasta dishes such as baked penne or spaghetti (that can be ordered along with meatballs, fresh breadsticks and a salad), Johnny Boys has many other tasty dishes to choose from, such as chicken alfredo pizza and big, juicy, plump wings that they get from Jacob and Sons, a local distributor in Martins Ferry. You can also build your own calzone or choose an oven-baked Italian, steak, meatball or buffalo chicken sandwich.

They offer a variety of deep fried dishes such as cheese sticks, jalapeno poppers, mushrooms, pickles, zucchini and boneless wings that are all are popular tasty choices, along with delicious pepperoni rolls that can be ordered for a special occasion or event. The french fries can be ordered plain or with a variety of toppings including bacon and cheese, taco and pizza toppings, or you can just order “garbage fries,” which come with cheese and up to four toppings.

Johnny Boys is open from noon to 11 p.m., Monday through Thursday; noon to midnight, Friday and Saturday; and noon to 10 p.m., Sunday.
