Profit mastery workshop to be held for businesses
ST. CLAIRSVILLE – The Community Improvement Corp. of Belmont County is hosting a Profit Mastery workshop for businesses that are at least 1 year old from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday and on March 22 at the CIC office, 117 E. Main St., St. Clairsville.
This two-day workshop will be presented by Cindy Voorhies of Ohio University’s Small Business Development Center. The hands-on workshop for business owners and key managers will cover topics such as:
∫ Overcoming common business problems
∫ Understanding your financial position
∫ Using tools to take active control
∫ Making effective pricing decisions
∫ Evaluating cost patterns
∫ Making your business bankable
∫ Avoiding cash crunches
∫ Planning for transition
∫ An approach to analysis
The workshop may also qualify for 16 hours of CPE credits for certified public accountants.
Voorhies is a small business owner herself and has more than 17 years of experience counseling and assisting other small businesses.
