Kelsie Bahmer of Barnesville is among 625 students named to the spring semester Dean’s List at Ohio Wesleyan University. Bahmer also is a graduate of Barnesville High School. To qualify for Dean’s List recognition, Ohio Wesleyan students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale in at least three unit courses.

Jenna Beadle of Jewett, is on the Dean’s List for the spring semester of 2010 at Ashland University. She is the daughter of Jeffrey and Susan Beadle and is majoring in political science. To be eligible for this honor, a student must be enrolled full time and achieve at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Bowling Green State University has announced the following undergraduate students have been named to the spring semester Dean’s List for achieving grade point averages of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale.??To be chosen for the Dean’s List, undergraduate students must carry no fewer than 12 letter-graded credit hours per semester.

Adam Mysar, marketing management major, received the Gold A-Key Award from The University of Akron. This acknowledgment is a L.I.F.E. (Legacy, Integrity, Fellowship and Excellence) Award, which recognizes and honors the leadership, excellence, distinction, achievements and support of the University’s organizations, activities, students and faculty/staff. The Gold A-Key Award recognizes Mysar’s involvement and contributions to the University both inside and outside the classroom. Nominees for the Gold A-Key Award are rated on a point system which values “periods of involvement”. These “periods of involvement” include student government, committees, scholarship, athletics, and performing arts among others. Mysar is a native of St. Clairsville and graduated from St. Clairsville High School in 2006.

Ezekiel Rockwell finished his Junior year at Wilmington College, on the Dean’s list, for spring term, 2010. Zeke is the son of Thomas Rockwell of Barnesville and Normie Rockwell of Belmont, and is studying psychology. He is the grandson of Florence Rockwell, Barnesville.

MORGANTOWN – Two local residents were awarded Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degrees from the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy.

Ryan Bane of Wheeling, W.Va., and David M. Cole of Martins Ferry, Ohio, are members of the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy Class of 2010.

Dr. Bane is the son of Rodney and Lori Bane. While studying at the WVU School of Pharmacy, he served as the Heartburn Awareness campaign co-chair of the American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP). Bane also received the Ohio/Marshall County Pharmacists Association Scholarship. Bane graduated summa cum laude and will be employed in community practice in Parkersburg, W.Va.

Dr. Cole is the son of Raymond and Charlene Cole. Cole will be employed in community practice in New Martinsville, W.Va.

Eric C. Francis of St. Clairsville recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Akron with a Bachelors Degree in Middle Level Education focusing on Mathematics & Language Arts.

KEVIN MESSENGER of Colerain, was recently placed on the dean’s list at the College of Engineering at The Ohio State University.

WESLEY WILSON, of Barnesville, was one of among 2,050 students who received his M.B.A. degree in applied management, during graduation ceremonies on May 1, at Indiana Wesleyan University’s main campus in Marion.

Indiana Wesleyan University is an evangelical Christian comprehensive university of The Wesleyan Church, which host its world headquarters in Indianapolis.

FAYETTE, MO. – Caleb Jeremiah Myers, son of Dean and Terri Myers of St. Clairsville has been placed on the Dean’s List for the Spring 2010 semester at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo. To qualify, a student must be full time and achieve a 3.5 or higher GPA.

Nathan E. Hendershot, son of Emmett and Mary Hendershot, 69572 Crescent Rd, Saint Clairsville, has been named to the Ohio Northern University deans’ list for the spring quarter 2009-10. He is a senior majoring in computer engineering.

Andrew K. Lucas, son of Jeff and Mary Lucas, 500 S Jefferson St, Belmont, has been named to the Ohio Northern University deans’ list for the spring quarter 2009-10. He is a senior majoring in civil engineering.
