Moundsville-Marshall County Public Library to screen “Life of Pi”

  • The Moundsville-Marshall County Public Library will present the next film in its Summer Cinema series “Pic of the Lit” featuring movies based on books on July 14, Monday, at 6 p.m. The feature will be Life of Pi. A writer visits Indian storyteller Pi Patel, now living in Canada, and requests his life story. Pi tells of a disaster at sea and a fight for survival bringing together the young man and a fearsome Bengal tiger. This film is an epic journey of adventure and discovery enchanting, thoughtful and visually brilliant! Based on the novel by Yann Martel, Life of Pi is directed by Ang Lee and stars Suraj Sharma. A 2012 release, it is rated PG and runs 127 minutes. This film showing is free and open to the public. The Moundsville Library is located at the corner of Tomlinson and Fifth Street.
