Craft/Vendor Fair on Saturday during Winterfest
MARTINS FERRY — While attending Martins Ferry’s WinterFest on Saturday, people are encouraged to stop at the Craft/Vendor Fair located on Hanover Street between Fourth and Fifth streets. It will run from noon until 4 p.m.
There are 36 crafters and direct sale people registered to take part with a wide variety of items for your shopping pleasure and maybe get a start on your Christmas list. There will be 11 direct sale representatives from most of the major companies. The 25 crafters are from all over the local area and as far away as Pittsburgh and Hamden, Ohio, with everything from fudge and chocolate suckers to wooden crafts and handmade leather items.

Swimming pool plans to be discussed
MARTINS FERRY — The Martins Ferry City Council and the Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association are hosting a public meeting at 1 p.m. Monday in the Recreation Center located on South Fourth Street to hear plans on the improvements being proposed for the swimming pool filter room and installing a splash pad beside the pool.
West Bellaire meeting is Monday
BELLAIRE — Bellaire Village Council and BBU Services of West Virginia, the company interested in purchasing the West Bellaire Community Center, is holding an informational meeting for the residents and property owners of West Bellaire at 6 p.m. on Monday at the West Bellaire Community Center.
Ferry Council cancels meeting
MARTINS FERRY — Martins Ferry City Council will not meet Wednesday evening for a regular meeting, said Mayor Robert Krajnyak. Council’s next regular meeting is set for 6 p.m. Dec. 5 at the city building on Fifth Street.
