Driver hits gas pump

COLERAIN — The driver of a vehicle who struck a gas pump at the Colerain IGA late Tuesday is being charged with failure to control his vehicle, according to published reports.

A firefighter with the Colerain Volunteer Fire Department, who declined to be named, said no one was injured in the accident. He said there was a minor fire, but that neither the vehicle or gas pump was on fire. He declined to say specifically what was on fire, noting he did not want to hinder the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s investigation.

OSP officials were not available for comment Wednesday.

Barton Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the scene. The accident happened about 9:30 p.m.
