Bellaire police make 4 arrests

BELLAIRE – Village police continued their crackdown on drugs and violent crimes over the weekend with four arrests in two different incidents.

On Thursday, four subjects were observed in a vehicle in the baseball complex adjacent to Commerce Park. Three of the four individuals were arrested and two were taken to the Belmont County Jail, while a third was cited into Eastern Division Court.

Arrested were Derek Bradshaw, 18, of First Street, Bellaire; and Robert Dodrill, 18, of Frazier Avenue, Bellaire. Bradshaw was charged with drug trafficking, as was Dodrill. The pair allegedly had 19 baggies of mairjuana packaged for sale in their possession, along with a small amount of cash in the baggies.

Sha’Heim Price, 18, of 41st Street, Bellaire, was cited into Eastern Division Court for possession of marijuana.

In a second incident on Saturday, Ricardo Maurice Smith, 22, of North Zane Highway, Martins Ferry, was arrested on a felonious assault charge on a juvenile, a second-degree felony. He was taken to the Belmont County Jail.

No bond was set until Smith appears before a judge.
