Local mom headed to prison
A Bridgeport mother has been sentenced to 15 years to life in prison for the death of her 2-year-old daughter.
Erin Bell was sentenced this morning for one count of murder and one count of child endangerment in connection with the death of her daughter, Mylie.
Judge John Solovan II sentenced Bell to the reformatory for women in Marysville.
Belmont County Sheriff Fred Thompson previously said a medical examiner believed the child died from blunt force trauma to the head and said the girl had “extensive bruising over a large portion of her body.”
