Steubenville man dies in rollover accident
JEWETT – A Steubenville man died Thursday following a rollover crash on Ohio 151 in Green Township, Harrison County, between U.S. 22 and Jewett.
According to officials from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a 1998 Honda Accord operated by Bradley H. Kincaid, 43, 1648 Roosevelt Ave., Steubenville, was eastbound along Ohio 151 at a high rate of speed when the vehicle went off the left side of the road at a curve, struck an embankment and overturned. Kincaid was ejected from the vehicle.
Emergency personnel from Jewett, Cadiz, Hopedale and Harrison Community Hospital arrived on-scene. He was transported to Jewett Park and taken by medical helicopter to UPMC Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was pronounced dead.
Officials are now working with the Allegheny County medical examiner to look at any conditions that might have contributed to the erratic driving. There is no indication that alcohol or drugs were involved. Officers speculated that Kincaid’s history of diabetes may have been an factor.
He was not wearing a seatbelt.
The crash remains under investigation.
