Ferry house raided by Belmont DTF
MARTINS?FERRY – The Belmont County Drug Task Force conducted an early morning raid Friday at a residence on Broadway Street in Martins Ferry.
Officers with the task force visited 723 Broadway St., the home of one Patrick J. Allen, 22.
Upon inspection of the home, officers discovered prescription pills, drug paraphernalia and more than 1,000 in his pockets.
Martins Ferry Police Chief and Drug Task Force Commander John McFarland noted officers also discovered a stolen flat-screen television.
McFarland said the investigation is ongoing although Allen has been charged and booked into the county jail in St. Clairsville.
This raid is the result of an investigation that was conducted during a span of several months.
Allen was booked into the Belmont County Jail on four counts of felony trafficking in drugs and one count of receiving stolen property. His bond was set at $12,500.,
Officials said the stolen TV will be returned and the investigation is ongoing.
