The bike is becoming more successful each year, the first year we had 20 riders the second over 30 so we’ll hoping we break the 50 mark this year. We are hoping we can make this a significant early event making it a vital part of our funding raising activities,” said Danny D. Popp, chairman of the board of trustees. “It started as a way to link OVRDC’s fund raising efforts to the type of events and recreational activities the organization is trying to promote with it’s grant writing efforts for expanding trails and promoting economic and cultural development in the valley.”

The OVRDC is a non-profit charitable organization that is dedicated to promote development in the region. According to the OVRDC mission statement they believe in utilizing two of the Ohio Valley’s greatest assets, which the Ohio River and its citizenry with a diverse history and rich culture.
