Bellaire police arrest four

BELLAIRE – Four men were arrested early Sunday morning by Bellaire police after being dispatched to a fight at the Stone Bridge Bar at 3101 Belmont St.

Officers arrived shortly after 2 a.m. and saw occupants running from the bar to an apartment on the side of the building leading upstairs where the suspects were arrested for outstanding warrants ranging from traffic violations to felony drug trafficking warrants.

Once inside the apartment, office viewed what they believed to be adult entertainment with a sign over the door requiring a cover charge.

Arrested and taken to the Belmont County Jail were Jonathan Thomas-West Shaw, 26, of 16302 Delreyade St., Cleveland. He was booked on three warrants charging him with failure to appear. There was no bond listed.

Jason A. Ruskin, 21, of 215 Curtis Ave., Moundsville, was booked on one count of failure to appear. No bond was listed.

Sherwood T. Robinson, 24, of 4157 Trumbull St., Bellaire, was booked on one count of failure to appear, There was no bond.

Henry R. Burton, 31, of 1462 Marshall St., Wheeling, was booked on three counts of failure to appear and being a fugitive from justice. Bond of $845 was set on the failure to appear charges and there was no bond on the fugitive charge.

Officers spoke to the owner of the bar and charges may be pending against the owner and five females. The bar recently had a 10-day suspension.

Bellaire Chief Mike Kovalyk said that liquor control was to be advised of the incident today.

Bellaire police were assisted by Bridgeport, Shadyside, and the Martins Ferry Police Departments and the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office.
