Bridgeport council OKs water accord
BRIDGEPORT – Village council passed an ordinance Tuesday night authorizing a cooperative agreement for a water system project between the village of Bridgeport and the Ohio Water Development Authority (OWDA).
It has been declared an emergency.
The village has determined the need for several water system improvements. This loan will help cover the costs of the needed improvements.
This ordinance has been declared an emergency measure for the preservation of the public, health and safety for residents by supply safe water.
Village Solictor Mark Thomas presented this before council.
The annual Halloween parade will be held on Thursday, Oct. 31 and will begin at 5:30 p.m. The parade line up will start at 5:15 p.m. at the corner of Marion and Bennett and proceed to municipal building where costumes will be judged.
Children will also receive bags of treats.
Trick or Treat in the village will follow the parade, starting 6:30 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m.
Village officials ask that all residents who wish to participate in the trick or treat turn on their porch light and turn it off when you run out.
