Judge Fregiato hears several cases
ST. CLAIRSVILLE – Judge Frank Fregiato heard numerous cases during Tuesday’s session of Belmont County Common Pleas Court. Several were continued, with two pleas moved to Thursday.
Michael Jones, 29, 601 Whitely St., came before Fregiato on a charge of trafficking in drugs, a felony of the fifth degree occurring Feb. 27, 2012. His pre-trial was set for Feb. 18, with plea agreement March 3 and trial March 11. He was held without bond.
Charges were dismissed against Robert K. Grimmett, 52, 413 Bennett St., Bridgeport, owner of Bob’s Cheap Smokes, which was declared a public nuisance after selling synthetic marijuana. Prosecutor Dan Fry noted that charges were dismissed due to was a clerical error in Grimmett’s indictment. He will be indicted again likely under his original charge with the error removed. He had previously pleaded guilty to complicity.
A warrant was issued for Donald Marquis Bell, 22, 3345 Monroe St., Bellaire.
