Shadyside discusses loop project details
SHADYSIDE – The Shadyside Council discussed several issues, one of which was the loop project.
Architect Danny Popp attended the meeting to discuss several details of the project.
According to Popp, they are looking to have everything done by fall. The sidewalks will be redone and lighting poles will be moved. Businesses and residents will lose power for about a day. This will not affect the date or location of the Loop Fest.
Street Commissioner Jay Meek stated that the Christmas decorations were removed and thanked Bellaire for the use of their bucket truck.
“We will start hot mix next month as well,” said Meek.
Council is taking applications for the open positions at the pool. Anyone interested in becoming a life guard or pool manager can get applications from the mayor’s office.
Passes this year will be $80 for families and $45 for a single.
